The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning doctors against prescribing a malaria drug widely touted by President Donald Trump for treating the new coronavirus outside of hospitals or research settings.
In an alert Friday, regulators flagged reports of serious side effects and death among patients taking hydroxychloroquine and the related drug chloroquine. The drugs, also prescribed for lupus, can cause a number of side effects, including heart rhythm problems, severely low blood pressure and muscle or nerve damage.

This has been used for fifty + years and now they find out it’s dangerous. Eliminate the FDA because they are irrelevant.
From what I understand, that drug has been in use for over 50 years. Another hit at Trump. Our president has taken an awful lot in the three and a half years that he has been in that position. May he be re-elected and enjoy 4 years of peace. Although I highly doubt he’ll get the peace, that he will be re-elected, I am certain.
So they going to pull it as a treatment for Lupus and RA?
Thought not because those are done under a doctor’s supervision.

Fine. Give hydroxychloroquine by itself to non-hospitalized patients. Add the zpack if hospitalized. Problem solved.
Follow the money. They (Big Pharma) aren’t making any off this drug.
Not one single link to the FDA site where a new article has been posted saying this. Is the Chicago Tribune run by China?
