Donald Trump Jr. blasted the media on Thursday for “acting like we can’t open up until COVID is eliminated,” when “that may never happen.”
“Self quarantining & shutting down businesses was done to FLATTEN the curve not to eliminate COVID,” Don Jr. tweeted. “We needed time to prepare for increased hospitalization & obtain PPE.”

These are crucially important points, ones I’ve literally been stressing in piece after piece after piece. And it is also just as crucial that high-profile surrogates of the administration, like Don Jr., stress these points.
They must also — along with health experts such as Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx — continue to stress these points because the media are deliberately setting President Trump up for failure, and setting the country up for another 12 to 18 months of mindless panic.
The media are doing this by deliberately fabricating an impossible standard that will allow the media and Democrats (but I repeat myself) to treat every post-reopening coronavirus infection and death as a cold-blooded murder motivated by self-interest and greed, by Trump’s desire to callously reopen the economy at the expense of human life.

Don Jr. has the most realistic outlook I’ve seen to date.
He’s right and this has gotten lost in the media hysteria.
Actually, it got pushed aside and deliberately ignored.
We all have to Man-Up. All the platitudes and commercials with catch phrases of "Fierce", and "Jersey Strong" and "Stand up to..." and all of the other BS is just that - BS.

Don Jr is 100% right. We were told that the lockdown was necessary to that ICUs wouldn’t be overwhelmed by 10s of thousands of patients all arriving at once needing care. They’re trying to move the goalposts now and continue the lockdown as long as new infections trickle in. It’s insane, and theoretically we could be locked down forever. There are no guarantees of a vaccine any time soon.
Media and DemonRats see this as the best opportunity to get rid of Trump.

Yes, by their arguments we would just lock down the economy 4 months every winter for flu season and stay inside.

If Obama was POTUS I’m not sure we would have ever closed anything except maybe large sporting events.

Flattening the curve was for our medical front line, and it was a worthy goal that we achieved.
Moving the goal posts is total BS, and their noses needed to be rubbed in it until it gets well into their nostrils.
Take away government paychecks, cancel the election, and make Trump President for 4 more years...and you’ll see Dems want to end this.
