Trump-bashing Hollywood figures, from film stars to studio executives, have been conspicuously silent when it comes to China as evidence mounts that Chinese dictators sought to hide the true gravity of the coronavirus outbreak and silence doctors who tried to speak out. Take Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista. He’s attacked President Donald Trump for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. As one of Hollywood’s most prominent anti-Trump voices, Bautista has fired off tweets insulting the commander in chief’s daily press briefings and recently called quarantine protestors “morons” for seeking to re-open state economies. But the actor has been conspicuously silent when it comes to China — and he along with the rest of the entertainment industry have billions of reasons to stay quiet as more evidence points to actions that China’s dictators sought to hide the true gravity of the coronavirus outbreak and silencing doctors who tried to speak out.

Maybe we should just sell Hollywood to China, they can all move there and live in Utopia.
I so hope people decide sitting in a crowded theater with cloth seats and the inability to keep the theater sanitized will keep people at home and crater Hollywood’s bottom line. But that’s probably going to require punishing China and punishing them hard, which I don’t believe will happen. As soon at the DEMs, the MSM, and most foreign countries can push the narrative squarely on Trump, China will be a forgotten criminal. I already see it on other forums I would have normally considered to be apolitical.
If the got out of Hollywood, maybe we wouldn’t have those Kung fu fights in movies. I hate that crap.

Disney owner of ABC and ESPN. ESPN has rights in China. Disney theme park, plus movie revenue.
Comcast owner of MSNBC CNBC and NBC plus Universal Studios. Besides movie revenue in China they are building a new Universal Studio’s theme park in China.
Viacom owns CBS. Besides movie revenues, they have TV rebroadcasts in China.
CNN is also broadcast in many Chinese hotels.
All of these stations allow China to censor their news. And China has censorship affects on their news content in other countries including the USA.
You can’t blame them for the ignorant masses, but their long line of pandemic movies are also one of the reasons the ignorant masses reacted as they did.

Hollywood creates perceptions or moods. Peoples behaviors are in turn affected by these perceptions.
1. Politicians
2. The main stream news media
3. Hollywood
4. Government agencies like the CDC/NIH etc.
5. Some institutions like John Hopkins and these celeb doctors that always latch on to the latest fads.

Hollywood is an expensive whore that is willing to perform any trick and while they like to be the champion of every liberal cause in the US, they have no problem appeasing the oppressive, authoritarian and non-democratic, powers to be in China.
Make sure to let everyone know to boycott any Hollywood film that takes any Communist Chinese funding, the AMC movie theater chain and anyone else that kowtows to the brutal Chinese Communist Party
It’s been a long time since I went to a theater. I see no reason to go in the future.
They’re already doing new movies thru pay per view.
I have been for years, even before it was popular.
I have zero issue with Chinese culture, their history, etc. I think the Chinese have an awesome history and culture quite frankly (an industrious people that value education and family that have a lot to be proud of).
But yes, I have an issue with their communist government that oppresses Christians but where Christian stores in the US manufacture their stuff. A place that isn’t democratic, isn’t fair when it comes to trade, where they do not respect human rights, had forced abortions, etc.
Look at the 1989 incident where they crushed pro-democracy protesters with tanks. And what did we do? Vote to add them to the WTO and make big trade deals.
For enough money they became our “best friends.” That says as much about us as it does about them, sadly and frankly.
Hollywood is taking a big hit here and in Commieworld. With Trumps drug task force hitting the illegal supply hard and funds drying up in Hollywood, a perfect storm is brewing. Be prepared for a TDS pandemic, Hollywood suicides and more excruciating amateur boring home specials.
Hollywood’s total domestic box-office receipts for April 10-16 = $5,277.
I’m so torn up about that.
