“Wasn’t Columbus, NM the site of Pancho Villa’s raid?“

I can’t say that I know the answer to that but it does sound familiar. Did you know that Tucson Arizona has a brass statue of that murderous, dirty bandits Poncho Villa right in the heart of downtown?

Interestingly, the site of the raid in Columbus is named after the perpetrator--Pancho Villa State Park. And every March 9, they hold a parade to commemorate the raid.
