LANSING, Mich. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said social distancing is working but it is too early to detail a specific plan on when to reopen the economy.

And they are free to go out of business too. Nothing I need that bad to submit to crap like that.
With a false positive rate of 50%, it is a colossal waste of time and resources. With that high a failure rate, a person could test negative one day and positive the next. Mass testing is nonsense.
A prosecutor in the U.P. is not going after motor boat users as long as they social distance (no parties)
I was just tested with the newest test (Abbott, I think) a week ago. The doctor told me it has a 96% accuracy on positive results.
Dr. Birx (for what it's worth) described that if 1% of the population was infected and the 99% were tested, 50% would come back as positive. Also, not everyone has or will use the Abbot machine. Even in your scenario, testing 30 million people on Abbot machines, with a 4% failure rate, would mean false positives on a 1.2 million people.
Waste of time.
It’s not a false positive rate of 50%...also, the random population test that USC just did in L.A. showed 2%-4% had antibodies. If true, it means that we are very far away from herd immunity, which is bad news. If you think that 50% of those are false positives, the news is even worse.
The 50% figure came from Dr. Birx who supports only testing those with symptoms and then contact tracing from there. She is also against mass testing and dismissed it's effectiveness.
She has to be correct. How can someone collect that many scarves and be wrong?
