Flubro: It’s someone who thinks it’s no worse than the flu. They think we are overreacting.
Ahhh, the slippery slope of restrictions of liberty: Beaches closed, cannot go to restaurants, ask the 20 million people who have filed for unemployment because of this overblown hype — their freedoms of a pursuit of happiness (thats right, pursuit is livelihood, not hedonistic) — the closing of schools, the restriction of learning. the attempts of second amendment restrictions in Virginia, and these are the small things...here are the big things:
1. Freedom to peacefully assemble — restricted
2. Freedom of religion — I cannot celebrate my faith with communion
3. The tyranny of the government arresting people who are not social distancing
4. The tyranny of the police putting nails in the entrance of a church that dared to celebrate its freedom to worship.
I am so glad to hear that you zealously defend only YOUR rights, not the ideals and rights that ALL AMERICANS are guaranteed.
‘Or the possibility of even considering something that Trump or Rush said might not be true.’
you can’t accuse me of that; if Trump says something dumb, I’ll say so and I have; and I agree with about 60% of what Rush says...
Go away
We should have to lie to the cops — that in and of itself proves that our liberties are under assault — for if we told the truth, then we would be persecuted and prosecuted...
Stop whining and go about your life. You own a restaurant, open it.
The country was founded on civil disobedience. But NONE of you have the balls to take a stand.
I never told anyone to panic. I dont give a f**k what you do. Really. Stay inside. Go outside, gather in groups, play football. Don’t care. I did not care in January. I don’t care now.
Just because there are some of us who saw this coming, and took action to prepare, you guys feel we are supporting the “oppresive” government and whatever dictator you think you are living under.
If I were living under a dictator, I would do something about it. I have my liberty. Its been changed, but I am still free to roam, meet with friends, and conduct commerce.
I am not quite sure what part of YOUR life has changed...what cant you do that you did before. And what are you going to do to change that. Calling ME names is not going to accomplish anything.
So stop a keyboard bully, and become a warrior for your liberty. But you, nor anyone else here has the guts to do that. Its easier to attack someone you don’t know based on assumptions about what they think.
Go F yourself. If you really feel that way and you do nothing, you are a coward and a lemming.
This is my anecdotal experience. I work close to one of the top 10 busiest airports in passenger traffic in the world(DFW). DFW had major Asian, European, and Latin American flights coming in everyday, and I would pick them up in the hotel shuttle. I was on the front lines when no one knew appx, November 2019 to March 2020. There was no social distancing, at the time.
I felt fine, and I was on the front lines. When I heard first about Wuhan in January, I felt queezy, not for me, but people who don't have much public contact and live in confined spaces 24/7.
That's just my opinion, and being cooped up does not do anything for my physical and mental health.
I had that Hong Kong flu OMG thought I was going to die 3 weeks flat on my back and another week just to feel half way stable again I was you pulled through just fine and yes a huge number of deaths BUT the country remained open BECAUSE we were not a bunch of fricking snowflakes!! I want to know WHY all of these damn viruses come from Asia we need to get our companies the hell out of there!!
I’m 71 and have had pneumonia and bronchitis over the years. About 20 lbs. over best weight. Assume that’s a little into the high risk range.
But I don’t care. I’m doing what I want to do — if it’s available to do. Can’t go to church ‘cause the doors are locked. We shop w/o masks and have friends for dinner. Would happily eat in a restaurant if any were open.
Anybody who watches NBC News or any of the other ‘news’ networks would want to end it all.
‘How many people do you think would had died if we did nothing about it?’
I have no idea; and you know, neither do you...
Still less than the flu, bro...open it up...now!
That is a myth that you picked up here.
Ships being quarantined included the entire crew.
Towns that were similarly quarantined, included the entire town.
Homes that were quarantined included the entire family.
You might want to stop believing the crap spewed on FR by idiots using words they do not understand. Educate yourself. Discover if the statements or true—or do they just sound good.
Again, reporting and reality are two different things. Every death is now being counted as virus related. Then our media bleats out these horrible padded numbers and Steve wets his pants
probably not you dont sound fragile to me but that is something you could talk over with your pcp. im 60 fat and with asthma. Im not particularly worried
Trump has been saying stupid stuff since the first press conference. He has been DOING good stuff. But to anyone but a sycophant, those briefings are unwatchable.
And anyone taking respiratory advice from Rush, a man who has eaten and smoked himself to stage IV cancer, has to be an idiot.
Biiiiggggg man beating up on MOM MD. Lt implies lieutenant, whatever that means, it designates you as someone who should understand civics. I guess because you are comfortable, you will not defend the rights of others that are endowed by our creator. Its OK Vermont, because you did not speak up, they will ultimately come for you, and no one will be able to speak for you,
You are the worst of the worst. Traitor to the ideals of freedom that is should apply to all. But hey, you are ok with violations...because they do not affect you,
You are a petty tyrant. And calling you names? No, it was speaking the truth.
you are a delusional troll - get a grip before it’s too late
There are parts of the U.S. where people are being ordered to stay home even where there may be 1-2 cases and no fatalities in an entire county ... while the New York City subway system is still operating TODAY.
