Mom is 87 and still lives on her own.
I visit her regularly as do my sisters.
She still drives but has not gone anywhere for 4 weeks.
She’s not going anywhere for a while still.
Life can get back to normal with precautions for the majority...but not her. Not yet.
I’m glad there are treatments that are working well.
But she’s still home for another month at least...
She likes having her own apartment and just try telling her she needs to live with one of us.
Keep us informed on how your mom is doing, bro.
Take care of your mom. Guard her.
I’ve got an aunt in Arkansas in her upper 80’s.
She just moved to town from her house in the country. She lived alone out there the middle of farm land. All of her neighbors had moved out. She literally did not have a neighbor for 5 miles.
He daughter checks on her, but she no longer goes inside her new apartment. She brings her groceries and sits on the porch and talks to her.
My mom is 93 and was widowed in December. She moved into a nice new assisted living home, which is really an apartment. They have been under lock down for a couple of weeks, suburb of Tulsa. She had been loving the place, Bingo, Dominoes, etc. She sold her car, but they have a shuttle if they want to get out. I am sure she will be happy to stop the lock down! She gets around better than I do.
