It was reported online weeks ago that doxycycline was a safe and effective substitute for azithromycin, when the patient has certain cardio risk factors. Prescribing drugs without checking the patient’s overall medical history for contraindications is malpractice. Was this GP her regular doctor, or some guy manning the “virtual exam” phone bank?
