“I didn’t say he got everything right!”

No, you didn’t. But how can you trust him if you believe he was wrong?

“He was wrong on purgatory but so are a great many others. That does not diminish the power of his teaching on other things”

So he embraced what you must consider a heresy and you’re peachy keen with that?

Perhaps he gave a homily instead? Most people use the words "sermon" and "homily" interchangeably, but note the difference in the dictionary definition of homily:

a religious discourse that is intended primarily for spiritual edification rather than doctrinal instruction; usually a short lecture or discourse on or of a moral theme

Protestants should always be careful when praising Lewis. After all he believed in Purgatory and most of them don’t. <<

Lewis was a protestant, seems odd they've have a problem with praising of their own.

Most of them don't agree with him on Purgatory, so what? You can't get a majority of protestants to agree on anything besides the Catholic Church is wrong. Put a random group of protestants from all different churches in a room together and probably the only "consensus" they could reach is that the Bible is the word of God and Jesus was divine. And probably even a handful of self-proclaimed "protestants" would disagree on the latter two points.

Just get over it. Keeping this up makes you look petty and then infantile so just find a way to end it.
Thanks.

“Just get over it.”

There’s nothing to get over. Lewis wasn’t a theologian and his message wasn’t a sermond.

“Keeping this up makes you look petty and then infantile so just find a way to end it.”

How it looks is irrelevant.

“Thanks.”

No thanks.
