A massive storm is churning and has stalled over the western Atlantic Ocean, just offshore of the East Coast -- and it may acquire some tropical characteristics as it blasts New England with wind, cold air, rain and even wet snow late this week.

Wow! Thanks for posting that radar graphic.
We're in NW Connecticut... we've been getting some residual effects of that storm, which looks like a classic nor'easter. Mostly just some rain, wind and gray skies here.
I'll bet the surf is wild at the beaches we usually visit in CT, RI and Maine.

Weather Channel must be feeling left out of spreading panic on tv, its usual game. Let’s face it, 99/100 hurricanes can make landfall as complete duds but for some reason our great American public loves the Weather Channel drama even if it is proven complete bs over and over again.
