Just eliminate it all together. CAFE standards are unconstitutional, anyway. I know “interstate commerce” has been expanded to the point where it now covers almost everything....but that needs to be reigned in as well.

Totally agree that this has to be done away with. I assume the President knows it but is dealing with layers of bureaucratic infighting. If he is reelected, his hands won't be tied as they are now. I've been encouraged by the amount of deregulation thus far. Unfortunately, the release of Sars2 (however it was done) by Red China during his tariff war is increasing the role of government in our daily lives.
