Good to see a halt in the rise, even if it’s temporary.
Which is about a thousand lower in absolute terms than the previous day and also significantly lower in terms of percent increase. That number would seem to confirm what this article is saying. It’s one day, though, so it could be noise, but the decline in growth rate has been happening for a week or so now, so that’s a definite trend.
We’re testing only people with symptoms. Of course the numbers are going to go up. It’s how many of these will be hospitalized and/or die that matters.
We’re still in the newly discovered of existing cases period. 1-2 more weeks of expanded testing and containment measures (and the spring break peak) will tell the story.
That’s a good sign that we are testing more people.
The death rate always goes down as testing is able to be done by more people who already had it, but weren’t counted against the death rate.
