Aw, poop. I totally forgot about the CNN Fake News folks!

Heck, they’ll not only match her former pay and benefits they’ll most likely increase both pay and benefits.

Scum buckets.

Not really. Hospitals have legal, ethical, and moral obligations to provide quality emergency care for all. As a senior executive with a public relations role, the woman had a duty to uphold and promote her hospital's good standing. Suggesting that Trump supporters should not seek medical care for COVID-19 undermines the hospital's reputation.

By way of analogy, suppose that a trial judge blogged about his busy upcoming week of criminal court sentencings as "the satisfaction of stuffing more ni***rs into the state prison system." For that alone, within days, the judge would correctly be retired, resigned, or suspended and up on charges because the judge's credibility as a neutral arbiter would have been irrecoverably destroyed. If not, every case with a Black defendant or litigant that came before the judge would raise a legally compelling question about the judge's neutrality.

Similarly, with one appalling tweet, the hospital executive lost all credibility and value as a public advocate for her employer. Moreover, her retention would raise serious questions about the hospital itself and its standard of care for Trump supporters. Plaintiff malpractice lawyers would quickly cash in, with the hospital's senior executives and even line staff vulnerable to discovery over their political views.

In those circumstances, the hospital did the only thing they could: fire the offending executive for good cause.
