who said that we should accept some lives lost to save the stock market, that is being attributed to Trump? I think it is wrong. I cannot remember who did say it
After I get the answer I will requst that this thread be deleted.
we need to save the Stockmarket ...I should know better after working so many years in it....
But we do not need to lose lives!
many more lives will be lost if everything crashes ... safety nets will disappear ... SS and medicare will probably be gone ... the protections that we take for granted won’t be there ... saving the stock market and the economy will save many lives ....
what the quote actually was Were gonna have to make some difficult trade-offs.
Vanity puts it in quotes but then translated it for leftist readers; White House: Were Going to Have to Let Some People Die So the Stock Market Can Live

Of course we kill people for money and the stock market.Anti-American Dimwit!
yes, I’ve spent dozens of years as an institutional equites trader. A depression was a huge concern. i was really hoping he had a way to sidestep it...but it looks like it’s here again.
Good thing you weren’t around on D-Day.

66 answers and you still haven’t requested it be deleted.......Get off your butt and do it!
Do it! Do it now!!!!!
Even it Trump thought that way(he doesn’t), he is not so stupid as to say it....sheesh
Can you imagine a reporter asking Ike a day before D-Day: “General, how many deaths are acceptable?”
That’s true.
I came across a statistic that surprised me.
74,184 Deaths of mothers during birth (so far) this year.
Imagine that. I’m half expecting a knock on the door to take
me, a male, away.

I don’t put anything past them, but they’ve lost heavily
during this fiasco. Truth is, for some reason these flus
and viruses start there and inflict devastation globally
each year, or ten for the more dangerous ones.
They need to find out why, and do something to stop this
from happening.
I think that’s where the real blame lies. They’ve done
nothing to research this and end it.
Maybe you can’t, but I’d sure like to see a little effort
towards that outcome.
I think that’s the way to handle it. Find smart ways to be
productive and ride it out.
Even one death sucks, so don’t get me wrong. I still think
you have to buck-up at some point, and get on with life.
The alternatives are pretty austere.
Kudos to you folks for standing firm. Best wishes...
I'll just leave that right here...
I also think we need to restart the economy. The longer we stay home, the more our freedoms keep getting taken away. I’ve read about bans on drugs, guns, non-essential items, birthday parties, etc.
This isn’t the way to live, and we shouldn’t be reckless with our health. If we go back to work, we need to stay home away from others if we’re sick, wash our hands often, maybe wear masks. We need to go back to work before we’re all poor, homeless, needing the government handouts. When people are poor, desperation starts.
Indeed!
You dirty POS. Who the hell are you to call me unAmerican? Ive had my ass in loud places that counts for all the marbles. Your childish if you think the war in Iraq and Syria in Libya had the slightest thing to do with anything besides money.
In that case we might as well shut down the entire economy forever to fight the Chinese Communist Party global pandemic.
If we can save just one life, it will be worth it.
