It’s not a case of accepting anything ... lives are going to be lost no matter what is done.
How many lives would have been saved due to the seasonal flu if we had shut down the country every year? 5000? 10000?
The only ones saying that are the flubronies and some old politician in Texas, who is hiding out from the China Virus and waiting for everyone but his favorite hiding constituents to die.
Frankly,it is a GERM WAR that was started by China because the ChiComs hated the new trade agreement that President Trump and the USA put together. Thanks a lot CCP and the ChiComs!

Mainly the truth is what they ignore.
I see an all clear come in stages in the USA. YES we NEED TO GO BACK TO WORK.

Thank you for the comment.
So very true and so very well stated, FRiend
O.J. ?
Oprah ?
Dan Patrick is exactly right. Thank you for posting his statement!
Is that similar to democratic governors and mayors pumping the death toll up? Are the deaths from other illnesses added to the list?
If the logic is preserve our economy and avoid a Great Depression, which is were we are headed, which will make stocks valuable then I must agree with that statement.
Or are we now going to somehow save everyone, or at least yourself, at the expense of our freedom and livelihoods?
How much should the country spend to save a life? All chicken Freepers should answer that question.
Hope I can find WMAL AM/FM online/app wise.
The US has the largest number of fake news reporters in the world.
I think untreated the Coronavirus is more dangerous than the flu. It is also more infectious. I really don’t think I’m going out on a limb here. I think it’s been a catastrophe for China’s people. There’s been a massive coverup on the number of deaths. Italy has list quite a few people. They don’t have any reason to lie.
So at least to pause everything for a short time, and I do mean short, in order to assess and move resources where they need to go, is probably a wise bet.
That said, I think we should go back to work by Easter but with precautions.
No country lacking wealth has an adequate health system.
It takes money, and lots of it.
By the way, those who think that it is worth risking the country's economy....the anything to save one life crowd....obviously did not live during the lGreat Depression.
For me at my age then, it was a great time. Unlimited freedom, no worries other than mumps, chickenpox, the fear of scarlet fever and typhoid while living with kinfolk on the farm, TB, whooping cough,......
But it was a terrible time for my parents, who lost everything and had to start over from scratch, with two boys.
To those who think a depression is no more than a down economy and a trivial matter that we will sail through as we have the last several recessions, I say you have no idea.
Saving the economy today is much like saving the nation in war. Many might be lost, but it is what it is.
Work if you can, take sensible precautions. Gloves and handwashing are best. My office is open, we staff some vital industries, but we are minimizing contact as best we can within the law.
Well said!
I totally agree......we are seeing a greed and a nastiness in MY generation that I find very upsetting.....MY parents would give anything for their kids....and now their grown up kids, now seniors, are okay with stopping the entire country, giving up freedoms and financial stability for what?...a tiny small chance of catching a virus.....incredible ..
how many soldiers willingly went into the military so this country could remain strong,properous.....
we are spitting on their graves.....
“An economic collapse, quickly followed by societal collapse into jungle law, will kill a helluva lot more people that this damn bug.”
BINGO!
Across the country, people are seeing armed guards at their grocery stores. There is serious concern a big SHTF could get triggered. One single night of widespread food riots would kill far more than coronavirus has and ever will.
