You are not alone… The following quote has provided inspiration for many in the pro-life cause: "When the time comes, as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I've often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God -- and a terror will rip your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there'll be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world -- and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, 'Spare him, because he loved us!'" Congressman Henry Hyde God bless this wonderful man and his family.😪

Nice man.

Stepped down instead of turning his death into a political spectacle.

At a time when few Senators are remembered outside of their states, this wonderful man was widely known and respected.

With the few senators who are better known, many inspire a race to the remote to mute or change the channel when they appear.

Senator Coburn had me reach to raise the volume and pay attention. A memorable, remarkable man who was sensitive yet not weak, soft-spoken but worth listening to his interviews...because he had something to say.

Sad day for us. And I’m not even close to Oklahoma.

He was one my very favorite Senators of my lifetime (and I’m in my 60’s). He stood for what he believed.

I remember vaguely that he used to go back home on weekends and provide free medical care for his poorer constituents. The Democrats in Congress decided that was illegal (I forget why) and passed a resolution forbidding him from doing it. It was an excellent example of the extremes of good and evil.

I learned of him when I read his book “Breach of Trust”, which I enjoyed. He was a great politician, who put principle into action. I’m sure he is in Heaven now and no longer suffering. I pray for his family.

May he be happily greeted by thousands of grandchildren he didn’t know he had. Along with all the champions of the unborn innocents.

Did he give the democrats the middle finger and continue to do so?

John 11:25 is the most succinct verse in the New Testament. It celebrates the beating Blessed Heart of Christianity.

It's fitting that Senator Coburn wanted to be remembered by that. Requiescat in pace, Senator.

Love your post. I’m a Minnesotan and I felt the same way about him.

I wish more of our elected officials chose to emulate him - politically and personally.

Wouldn’t that be wonderful, Steve!

I think there are a few possibilities in the vast group we have now in the House and Senate. JUST A FEW, but every little bit counts.

Regards.
