My own guess is that the tests will eventually reveal that far more people are infected that is currently assumed especially in areas like where we live in KIng County, Washington. MOre than 10,000 Chinese people returned to their homes in East King County AFTER the TRump Travel Ban. At least as many returned before the travel ban was initiated but this is not as well documented. Many of these people were likely infected, so this thing had been circulating in this area for quite awhile before it hit a vulnerable population at the Life Care Center of Kirkland and finally got picked up on the radar. With the length of time that has passed and the small number of deaths associated we may not even hit a thousand in this country. The government over-reaction appears to be a huge waste of time and resources. But it will be very interesting to see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

I absolutely believe that this virus was already in the United States way BEFORE we even knew it..my guess, beginning of January that is my guess. I know some people who were very ill, including my cousin who is 42 years old, he is a physically fit man, a real estate attorney, who runs marathons, he was very sick, was never tested for the flu, had the vaccine, was sick for 2 weeks he called my uncle in the middle of the night saying that he thought he would NOT make it he was convinced he was going to die, he made it thank God, his wife never got the virus, neither did their two children the youngest being 5 years old they were all fine just he got sick and he is convinced he had coronavirus
we will only know the true infection and death rates once the dust settles. Right now we are in the fog of war. I am encouraged that we had our first ICU case at our hospital 10 days ago and have not had another since. That would speak to a very flat curve. In addition we are starting to see promising treatments that may also flatten the curve or at least shift the hospitalization curve to shorter lengths of stay. Whatever comes of this when it is over we need a very robust discussion of the curtailing of civil liberties by government that has far exceeded its rights. Suggest a limit on gatherings ok. Mandate it? the tree of liberty is getting parched.
