Lots of selling off in precious metals this week. (I kept all of mine.) My guess is that people were trying to gather some cash to buy cheap stocks - which lasted all of two days!

This looks to me like a sign that what we've got here is all panic-driven, and investors really want to be in the stock market. One instinct fighting the other.
Reminds me of the time back in my younger days when the old boiler in our utility room started making this god-awful noise. I thought the thing was about to blow, and for just a few seconds I stood there, advancing and retreating; advancing and retreating, terrified that it would blow and thinking at the same time that I had to act.
I finally came to my senses when I looked to see my wife in back of me, laughing her head off.

Historically, Fridays are down days during economic downturns, because people don’t like to hold stocks over the weekend in case of more bad news.
I noticed that this time is different. Last Friday and today were up days.
