Federal judge grants former Baltimore Mayor Pugh’s request to delay incarceration by two weeks

A federal judge who oversaw the recent criminal conviction of former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh has granted a request from Pugh to delay her incarceration until April 27, two months after she was sentenced to three years behind bars for her “Healthy Holly” book fraud.

Pugh was to “self-surrender” and begin her sentence by April 13.

In a motion filed March 2, defense attorney Andrew White said that an extension would allow her “to remain at her house until her niece, who lives with her at the residence, has completed the current school semester at the University of Maryland Law School.”

It remains unclear what federal corrections facility Pugh will serve her time in. Her attorneys have said they expect she will only serve a portion of her sentence in prison, due to recent legislation aimed at reducing the number of nonviolent, elderly offenders in federal prisons. Pugh is 69.

What if that was all part of the scheme?

And after that she’ll ask for another delay due to coronavirus.

Actually, seems reasonable to me as long as her sentence is not reduced by 2 weeks.

Actually it seems unreasonable. Her niece needs Auntie Cathy at home while she finishes a semester in college? C’mon. Put this thief and grifter in jail already.

It osn’t necessary for her to be there while a young relative finishes their semester at college. Ludicrous, but shes got the vagina card, race card, and aarp card to play.

#6. Well, if her niece is going to be a lawyer, Pugh has a vested interest in her education. The crook will probably need a good lawyer in her future (probation, parole, reparations, etc).

I must have mixed her up with some other person and thought she was ok looking.

I took a peek over on google and now I want to cut my eyes out and feed them to stray dogs.

There's still the compensation you owe for just making the original assumption... The testicles first, then the eyes...

Swift justice is for the little people.

Got that right. Here in the People's Republic of New York, Sheldon Silver, the corrupt former Assembly Speaker and friend of Hillary, has yet to spend a minute in jail since being convicted five years ago of taking bribes and kickbacks. The word is that he did so many favors over the years that most of the judges in the state are in his debt and that's how he manages to be free on endless appeals and accommodations while collecting a $6K monthly pension.

Appeals court won’t hear more appeals of Sheldon Silver case

The Manhattan resident was first convicted in 2015 on bribery and extortion charges. After that verdict was overturned on appeal, Silver was convicted again in 2018. He was sentenced to seven years in prison. He has remained free pending appeal.

Wht kind of adult life will this girl have, with such an example giving her support???
