I suspect this is part of a DNC effort to get everyone even slightly to the right of Comrade Bernie to get out and give their delegates to a single candidate at the convention so on the second ballot that candidate will defeat Sanders. If Sanders goes into the convention with anything less than a majority of pledged delegates, he loses.
The fix is in.

The reason Petey went so hard after Amy was that he knew this year is not his year, and he really doesn't want it to be since the Dem candidate is going to get slaughtered. Amy is the only other Dem on the stage that night who will still be politically alive in 2024, so that was his real competition.
Bernie or Biden will not pick another white guy to join them on the ticket. The slot is and has always been saved for Easy Spice, also known as Kamala, who brings both color and vagina to the ticket.
