...the left loves to compare President Trump to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. They throw the term around willy nilly. The word was used against one of their own and suddenly there's moral outrage. No one should be throwing around the word "Nazi" willy nilly. Hitler and the Nazis were some of the worst people in human history (if not the worst). Likening every small action to these monsters does a disservice to the men, women and children who were murdered at the ends of evil.

The left considers us subhuman - so calling us Nazis doesn't count in their book... Chris Matthews has used the term on Trump and us - the 'deplorables' - hundreds of times.

Chris Matthews is getting censored. The thought police have descended on Chrissie because he has stepped out of group think and he’s going to pay for that.

Chris’ idol, Tip O’Neill, would be more supportive of Trump than Bernie.

Three points:

1. What happens on Free Republic happens everywhere, and not just online. Have you tried talking to anyone in real life? Has no one ever told you in person that they think you are wrong whether or not you are actually wrong? I mean, think of all those sports channels and political debates. Everyone thinks someone somewhere is wrong, and they’re going to mention it. And not just on Free Republic.

2. The difference between your sky color comment and the overrunning the Maginot Line is that the sky changes color often and therefore saying the sky is blue or orange can both be true. However, the Nazis never overran the Maginot Line. The Maginot Line is famous for being bypassed.

3. I should have read the article. Or in this case, watched the clip. It wasn’t Matthews who said the Germans overran the Maginot Line. That was the Townhall reporter. I therefore agree with your post and admit that I was wrong.

It is not the same as having a conversation with someone in your dorm room.

I have studied Von Manstein and “Hurrying Heinz” Guderian and Rommel.

I feel that I have a pretty good idea of what happened with the German Blitzkrieg.

The point that Matthews was making was that Sanders victory in Nevada was pretty complete and surprising to many people. Thus, it was like the German invasion of France in WWII.

People complaining about Matthews comments being hurtful to Jews are off base. That is stretching so far to make a point, that those people must have rubber legs.
