The Democratic presidential debate Wednesday night kicked off with fireworks, as every person on stage not named Mike Bloomberg attacking the former New York City mayor, who was participating in his first presidential face off.
The first hit at the NBC/MSNBC two-hour debate here came from frontrunner Bernie Sanders, who ripped Bloomberg for his record as mayor.
Next to swing at Bloomberg was Elizabeth Warren, who took aim at the mayor's past critical statements about women.
"I'd like to talk about who we're running against. A billionaire who calls women 'fat broads' and 'horse-faced lesbians,' and, no, I'm not talking about Donald Trump,” Warren said. "I'm talking about Mayor Bloomberg."
Amy Klobuchar took her shot next.
"I've been told many times to wait my turn and to step aside," she said. "And I'm not going to do that now, and I'm not going to do that because a campaign memo from Mayor Bloomberg said, this morning, that the only way we get a nominee is if we step aside for him," she said.
Moments later, Pete Buttigieg offered his criticism for Bloomberg
"Let's put someone forward who is actually a Democrat," Buttigieg said.

They are more influenced by debates than ads. We saw Kamala and Warren implode after bad debate performances. Keep an eye on Bloomberg’s poll numbers. I know where they are going.

Tom Steyer spent 200 million and got nowhere. The media is against Bloomberg and all the other candidates are launching vicious attacks against him. He is a dead man walking.

Bloomberg has no core values, he goes with the flow and just says whatever he thinks will get people to vote for him.
I used to accuse Rudy of the same thing. And maybe Rudy still is like that too, even though right now he’s playing on the right team.
