Love him or hate him, and avowed socialist Bernie Sanders does evoke extremes in feeling, even conservatives often credit him with being honest. They shouldn’t. Not only has the Vermont senator and presidential contender changed positions to capture today’s “woke” Democrat Party left flank, but there are three factors to be considered when assessing honesty, and Sanders fails in the most dangerous way possible.
Oh, he certainly possesses authentic passion. Sanders isn’t empty to the core, as an early Arkansas Democrat critic said of Bill Clinton; he’s not a full-fledged opportunist such as Queen of Mean Amy Klobuchar or Pistol Pete Buttigieg, whose Marxist father, unbelievably, was a founding member of the International Gramsci Society (you can’t make this stuff up!). Nonetheless, Sanders would certainly understand late comedian Lenny Bruce’s observation, “We’re all as honest as we can afford to be.”
First there are the obvious, Romney-esque flip-flops. Sanders used to take what was once a not uncommon liberal position on immigration: Warning of how foreigners could take jobs from American workers and lower their wages (the late head of the United Farm Workers union Cesar Chavez was a staunch opponent of illegal migration). Now he proposes decriminalizing border jumping, breaking up ICE and CBP and insists that free health care for illegals is a human right.

Bernie Sanders sounds just like a 60’s burned out hippy everything free was a big thing then the free lunch tribe do have kids and it’s what we see now.

It’s my understanding he did not have a real job till 40 and he used to ‘borrow’ electricity from his neighbors apartment. You got that right, the burned out hippy.
Anyone, like Bernie for instance, who extols the utopian end of socialism/Marxism/Communism simply a huckster dealing in lies. Nobody should give Bernie any respect whatsoever.
If I ever had to shake hands with him, I'd check to see if I still had my watch, wallet and wedding ring, and count that I had all ten fingers...

Bernie flies mostly undetected, certainly he is undetected in his cult masquerading as a political movement.
The way to defeat him, not that we need any help this time around, is not to get distracted by debating his ideas, which are insincere and a mask, but to expose the small man behind the curtain - the selfish conman - the very opposite of an altruistic collectivist.
Today Bernie has the monopoly on die-hard socialists, so he’s pretty much getting that entire crowd.
Eventually more slick (and more dangerous) die-hard socialists are going to come down the pike.
Even though Bernie has no shot at POTUS, we must admit, that he has been the one that has done more to lay the groundwork eventually for socialism to take root in this country, if we are not vigilant. He has inspired many who will eventually infiltrate our government and institutions.
About as honest as Lenin and Marx.
If you understand that Bernie is a Communist then you can understand that Bernie is totally Honest in a Communist context.
