The Illinois House Republican leader blasted President Trump on Tuesday for granting clemency to former Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted of trying to sell Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat after he was elected president.
"It's very disappointing," Jim Durkin told reporters in the state capitol in Springfield. “We have a massive federal investigation into corruption in the state of Illinois and this action distracts and dilutes what I think is the proper role of the Department of Justice — to root out corruption,”
He said Blagojevich was "rouge on steroids" during his tenure as governor.

Trump is looking at this through the eyes of someone who has SEEN, HELLARY, FBI, CIA, STATE, NSA corrupt players get NO JUSTICE!! I think Trump said why in the HELL should these folks be sitting in jail and frankly I don’t blame him Blagojevich has been sitting in a federal pen for almost 5 years I think he has paid more of a price than anyone else!!! I know the guy is a Dem BUT come on people what’s fair is fair!!!

I’m happy to see him released early because he ought to be given the Presidential Medal of Freedom for lying to the FBI.

I’m a little confused about Blagojevich being pardoned. He was definitely a POS who had crooked doings across a number of enterprises. The others on Trump’s list make sense. Blagojevich, not so much.
I have mixed feelings about giving Blago a pass, he did serve 8 years on prison....
Think about all the crimes of Hillary and Bill Clinton, how many years in prison have they served ?? I have no confidence that either one will ever be charged with a crime much less serve time.
How many crimes have been committed by Comey, Clapper, McCabe, Brennan, etc...who used the power of the Federal Government in an attempted coup...none of them have even charged with a crime and I have little faith they ever will....
What makes me mad is not that Blago is getting out but the unequal application of justice....
