Canada produces really good lumber and so does South America. Argentina and Australia produces really good beef and East Europe produces really great grains. Asia has the best rice in the world. I should have open access to these markets/products but I don't. Why is manufacturing (11% of GDP and falling ) thrown under the globalist bus but our pampered farmers ( really corporations ) get subsidies? Hmm? So tell me why?
On the one hand Republicans tell me not to worry where my tires, car parts, TV, computers and almost everything I buy is made ( mostly not made in the USA ) but somehow I should give sh!t where the ear of corn I am about to eat is grown? Why?
Farmers ( 0.8% of GDP )need to get real jobs. Bloomberg is an idiot but he was right about farming. Farming is ghetto.
It took Trump to revel to me how unsophisticated the average Republican voter really is.

I don’t think this line of approach is working for you.
You just blew all your credibility on the entire “bring the jobs back home” discussion.
If we can’t grow our own food here then it doesn’t matter if we make anything else here. We can do without tires, electronics etc. We cannot do without food.
If you really cared about the workers than you’d also care about the agricultural workers that feed you.
Glad we don’t get the majority of our vegetables and dairy from China...it is our best interest to promote US farming if people want to eat...imho
PS...Canada lumber really good? It takes YEARS to grow it cause it’s COLD up there...S. America lumber grows REALLY fast.
Yeah, sure, the "sophisticated" ones are still demanding a federal minimum wage and pissing and moaning that they can't get a job ten years after the crash.
Those who can't find work in this economy are utter failures - should be learning new skills instead of bubbling constantly like a dripping, yeasty front hole about how life is so unfaaaair.
I want local, fresh beef, poultry, pork, and vegetables.
I don’t want the preservatives all over them as they are shipped halfway around the world. It’s a 2-8 hour truck ride from West Texas to Houston, or any of my neighbors farms to my freezer.
“Farmers ( 0.8% of GDP )need to get real jobs. Bloomberg is an idiot but he was right about farming. Farming is ghetto.”
You’d rather have food brought in by ship from elsewhere, that did God knows what to it, than have something trucked over from a neighboring state?
Delusional, you are.
