I’m a Minnesotan and my thoughts about Klobuchar have been well-documented on Free Republic.

I have to admit that I’m a bit alarmed at how well she’s done in NH. I’m trying to wrap my brain around it. Here’s what I see...

1. Some voters are really grabbing on to the idea that she’s moderate and nice. She isn’t - but I digress.

2. Did Klobuchar benefit from Trump’s Operation Chaos idea? I have thought Bernie would have been the beneficiary.

3. Is this just another case of NH voters making weird choices - as they’re apt to in presidential primaries?

Opinions - anyone?

Iowa picks corn

New Hampshire picks presidential candidates

[or so I’m told] :)

I think she’s seen as the lesser of a bunch of evils...well, three fewer evils as of tonight. You’re right about the (false) perception too, she is bland and hasn’t let the mask slip on camera so that reinforces the “Minnesota Nice” perception.

She won’t get the nomination but it seems to me she’s got a virtual lock on VP. Even though having a female VP thrilled democrats at one time, now who knows? They may just say it’s sexist.

Bloomberg-Klobuchar sure doesn’t just roll off the lips...

Klobuchar is still an unknown to most people and they are hoping she is better than the other hopeless cases.

I don’t know Klobuchar well, but here are my thoughts...

1. The true leftist crazies who embrace Marxism voted for Bernie
2. The truly “woke” crazies voted for Buttboy to earn their LGBTQ street creds
3. In desperation, Klobuchar looked relatively normal to the rank-and-file Democrats and so they voted for her.

All other votes were futile.

And Trump is watching the Dems create a 45 state demolition for him without having to lift a finger

Hillary will take her out when the time comes.

No other “woman” will be allowed to break HER glass ceiling as long as the venom still flows through her veins

You have to understand the psychology of voters in NH (and IA for that matter.) They see themselves the center of attention and feel blessed with specialness. They overthink things and find insights that are not there. It’s like the well known Hawthorne Effect, where those who know they are under observation distort their performance in the direction they perceive to be virtuous. People who would not ordinarily give Klobuchar the time of day act is if they have Solomonic wisdom just because they have media hangers-on hovering around them. Normal states’ electorates will not be much interested.

It appears Klobuchar did well partly because she had a good last debate.

I missed your previous posts about Miss Amy. My take is she might have the best chance against Trump, but I don’t know much about her. I found her to be the least obnoxious dem, by far, during the Kavanaugh inquisition. I also know she has a rep for treating her subordinates poorly, but that’s about all I know.

I’m a NH voter, but can’t speak for Dem voters here in the state ... but my biggest worry about the primary is that it appears that more than twice as many Dems voted yesterday as Repubs.

That does not look good for the general election. I fear that NH again will vote all Dem in November.

Klobuchar is probably being pushed by the Dem machine behind the scenes because she is from Minnesota - a state Trump nearly won in 2016, and certainly could win in 2020. She’ll probably end up on the ticket as a means to defend Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

A woke women’s movement gone dark trying to get Klobuchar at least into Vice president contention, would be my guest.

Women may be voting against grandpa, grand ma(Warren), weird great uncle jo and the homo brother in law(like the lady in the Iowa caucus that wanted to change her vote away from Mayor Pete “in the butt” Bob because she didn’t feel “that kind” should be in the white house).

Klobuchar can get in “maybe” as VP, then they can engineer a “25th amendment process” against Bernie or Joe...and voila, first woman president. Trust me I really have seen women work this way.

That’s why the Dems keep pushing this notion about Trump getting the 25 jive treatment; it’s what they potentially plan to do with Bernie or Joe!

Alarm about Amy only makes sense if you think Trump wouldn’t be able to unmask her.

I find that hilarious.

I’m from the mid-Atlantic area, but lived 4 years in Iowa so I know there are significant differences in attitude and concern, especially regarding farm issues. I think that Klobuchar is able to express thoughts that appeal to the folks in “fly-over country” that those who have never visited a pig farm or detassled corn at a seed farm can’t even imagine.
