President Trump on Tuesday suggested the military should consider additional disciplinary action against Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who provided damaging testimony against Trump in the impeachment inquiry and was reassigned from his White House job last week.
"We sent him on his way to a much different location, and the military can handle him any way they want," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. "Gen. Milley has him now. I congratulate Gen. Milley. He can have him."
Gen. Mark Milley is the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Asked specifically if the Pentagon should pursue further action against Vindman, Trump said it would be "up to the military."
"But if you look at what happened, they’re going to certainly, I would imagine, take a look at that," he said.
The president's comments on Tuesday signaled he was open to additional punishment for officials who testified against him in the impeachment inquiry. Some of his allies have sought to cast the ouster of witnesses like Vindman as justifiable reassignments rather than retribution.

Insubordination in telling the Ukrainians to not do what the President set for policy.
Leaking of classified information, in multiple ways and times.
True. The military can decide if going outside the chain of command like he did is a big deal or not.

Absolutely, in my view he’s wide open for a Court Martial but the enemedia is already trying to set it up that it’s because POTUS wants it.

The actual story goes that President Trump did nothing at all in the way of suggesting additional discipline.
Oh brother, my money would be that he’ll never get close enough to even see that facility. :^)
If 0bama Perfumed Princes didn’t still run the Pentagon, BOTH Vindmans would be headed to Guantanamo ... and not as staff.
Exactly....Trump didn’t suggest or say that....I was listening when he spoke....author is adding his own twist.

Let’s remember that it doesn’t matter what President Trump says, it’s what is in his mind that is impeachable.
Yep. Could easily find 5 or 6 UCMJ violations dealing with orders and insubordinate contact and such.
I thought that we heard on Rush that the War College was going to hire Vindman to teach class. If anybody there hires him each person involved with hiring him should also be fired.
Hopefully, the Vindman’s supervisor will give him a career killing OER for his time at the NSC.

Not casting any shade on the C.G., but, send him to the Coast Guard Academy and assign him to dute as C/O of an automated light house in the Aleutians.
It was announced yesterday that Vindman was on the list of Army War College (AWC) students to begin this fall. It takes a while to qualify and to be selected for the AWC and the selections were probably made last fall. Thus his selection is not necessarily a ‘reward’ for him, as some in other threads have stated/implied. It will be interesting to see if he actually is in the Army when classes start this fall.
