Expedition 61 Flight Engineer Christina Koch of NASA returned home to Ellington Field in Houston, Texas Feb. 7 aboard a NASA plane some 24 hours after a parachute-assisted landing in a Russian Soyuz spacecraft in Kazakhstan. Koch set a record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman – 328 days – in a mission on the orbiting laboratory that spanned 5248 orbits of the Earth and 139 million miles, roughly the equivalent of 291 round trips to the Moon. Koch performed six spacewalks during her mission and saw the arrival of a dozen visiting vehicles and the departure of a dozen spacecraft.

Nobody flew 328 days in space before this astronaut would be a record.
How about a US spacecraft land at Houston , instead of parachuting into Khazagstan???
First woman to be in space that long. Before that it was Peggy Whitson aboard Soyuz MS04 with about 290 days in space. Peggy was also oldest in space at 57 years old.
If it is Boeing they aren’t going.
Wonder how Peggy is doing now.
Happily retired in Iowa.

It is not 1970s. They improved the fodder and on board exercises. If you observed Koch she was carried out of her ship but able to stand on her own in Houston 24 hour later. Four months of high protein diet and four months of treatmill at one mile per hours and she will be able to drive and carry a shopping bag.
They are men. She is a woman.
