“If abuse of power is not impeachable, even though it is clear the Founders considered it the highest of all high crimes and misdemeanors,”

Uh, Adam, “abuse of power” is NOWHERE defined as a crime. There’s a good reason for that, because that is such an incredibly subjective thing that “abuse of power” is, in fact, an opinion. Opinions are not the basis for ANY criminal prosecution, let alone for undoing the last election of the President of the United States - no matter how long you stand on your head and hold your breath.

The thing is, Schiff KNOWS this. He’s not stupid - he’s just an uber-partisan, lying, immoral sack of steaming schiff.

This wasn’t even a nice try, Adam. It was a royal f-up, from the very beginning in the summer of 2016.

Go away.

At the Constitutional Convention George Mason proposed “maladministration” as one of the grounds for impeachment. James Madison objected to that as too vague. He didn’t want the President to serve at the pleasure of the Senate. “Abuse of power” is just as inappropriate a charge as “maladministration” would be.
