I’ve never been to a rally, I assume for security reasons they can’t have dumpsters out there, so did no one empty the trash in the whole day or however long people were in line? Is it an attendee problem or a logistical problem?
So what normally happens at a rally if people can’t take in their folding chairs, etc, surely they don’t just discard all their camping gear.
It looks disappointing, but I don’t know what a normal post-rally looks like.

See my post above...I have never seen anything at all like that, even when there were tens or even hundreds of thousands of people.

I have been to a rally and we couldn’t even bring in a bottle of water we bought while waiting on line.

The venues need to step up on providing trash cans and/or dumpsters. Maybe a charity, like the Salvation Army, could bring a truck to the site and collect the tents, chairs and blankets that had to be abandoned.
