We got a similar email. And one saying not to travel for personal reasons to those areas.
Time for China to be issued a Travel Ban.
Stop all entry for persons from China and stop all flights.
Fortunately, the attendants will benefit from the halt in flights to/from China which being requested/demanded by the Pilots Union. Not a fan of unions, but I’m ok with this.
But, the union is supporting their pilots to refuse all fights.
Fair enough. Government shoulda done it already. One would hate to think that the reason it hasn’t yet been done might have to do with the economic ramifications...

Yes, It is now. I was replying to someone who said he thought American stopped flying yesterday. It made the announcement about suspended flights yesterday, and they wouldn’t be suspended until Feb 9.
Now, things have changed.

WHO will review the justification and may request countries to reconsider their measures. WHO is required to share with other States Parties the information about measures and the justification received. ”

They won't win. Airline pilots unions have traditionally received zero help from the Left ("overpaid") and little help from the Right (always seem not interested).
When there have been strikes by unions, Democrats say they are not "our people." It happened twice during the Clinton regime.
If the pilot's union is successful in blocking the flights to China, the powers that be are terrified it will only "increase and fuel public panic" that what is happening in China is really a catastrophe. There are trillions of dollars in trade at stake.
