This particular flight is getting a lot of attention, but remember dozens of flights a day are arriving from China to the US. As I post this here is one to Dallas from Shanghai:

I’m hoping that a test can be done on them even if they aren’t showing symptoms. There is a husband and wife in Canada that traveled in from Wuhan.
The husband is confirmed (and ill) and in the hospital. The wife is believed to also have it, but showing no symptoms. She is staying alone in their home, and has been tested, and waiting on the results. I think perhaps initial tests say she has it, but they are waiting the day or two from the national lab to confirm it.
So hopefully that is what the three-day stay at the base is for, to wait for the CDC to confirm the test results.
That would make sense. They are testing for the virus (I think). So if the virus is present, the test will show it. Regardless if the person is symptomatic or not.
One of our daughters would get strep and pass it around. But she never showed signs for it. It wasn’t until the third time that the doctor figured it out and would test her and then treat her as well every time.
Yep. This is beyond idiotic. Trump needs to act like a leader.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

Don't expect accurate information from the CDC. During the Ebola outbreak, I had a tagline straight from their site that they didn't know how it was transmitted. Obviously, they lie.
And he’s probably not the only one with connections to get out.
FNC said this morning American and Delta (?) had not shut down their regular flights to China but other airlines have stopped theirs.
And all those not showing symptoms YET will be allowed to spread it across the country. We’ll see the results in 3 weeks.
I’m not fond of Trump’s decision here, either. Maybe he’s gun shy from the last time. He should have manned up the minute he saw China go into panic mode.
FNC listed several large companies (Apple for one) who are shutting off business during this.
