Just for clarification the 50/50 split vote with VP Pence casting the tie breaking vote being discussed only applies to procedural votes. Not on the vote to convict or acquit. That vote will requite 67 votes to convict and only 35 votes to acquit
Wouldn’t only 34 votes be required for acquittal? 100 minus 34 equals 66.
66 votes doesn’t meet the 67 vote super majority threshold.
