A top White House spokesman invoked the 1987 Mel Brooks classic “Spaceballs” in laying out just how flimsy lead impeachment manager Adam Schiff’s, D-Calif., impeachment case is against President Trump.
Deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told “The Story” on Friday that the House Democrats’ case against Trump — in which they alleged abuse of power in the form of the president trying to personally benefit through foreign policy with Ukraine — effectively has no first-hand witnesses.
Democrats, he said, are trying to “splice it together [and] pass it off as real.” […]

The left on Twitter is making out Schiff like he is Clarence Darrow and John Adams rolled into one. One comment even read that he “completely destroyed Trump’s legal team.”
I knew it. I’m surrounded by assholes!
I break out laughing at just the mention of that movie.
Darrow I could believe, given his proclivities.
But never John Adams, who is famous for saying “(o)ur Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people”, something that makes the godless Dems puke.
I think the best scene in that movie is when they’re standing there watching themselves on the TV up until the moment they’re standing there watching themselves. Hilarious!

Democrats want to call more hearsay witnesses like John Bolton who wasn’t even present at the famous July 25th phone call.
That’s the sum of their entire case we’ve heard this week - every one but the President making assumptions about him not borne out by the evidence.
And they still haven’t managed to tie him in to ONE crime, which it should be added, is missing from BOTH articles of impeachment.
If the House managers had proof of the President’s guilt, it would be apparent to everyone.
Today, the White House’s Dream Team begins taking their ridiculous contrived case apart.
Schiff looks a little like Mel Brooks playing with the paddle and rubber ball in Blazing Saddles. They could call his impeachment show Blazing Idiot.
Do what again? Fulfill the duties of his office? Abuse of power, indeed.
Had no idea a perfectly innocent phone call would become treated as a high crime in America.
This is why the Democrats want the President tossed out of office, because they think Trump solicited Zelensky’s consent to his corrupt scheme.
Which it should be added, hurt absolutely no one. This is the Seinfeld impeachment over nothing. Go figure.
What’s really hilarious is the Democrat obsession with the welfare of a far away country while they’ve overlooked the fact Trump’s actions here at home have improved the welfare of Americans.
Upon reflection, they have it exactly backwards because whatever Trump may or may not have done on Ukraine, it has had zero effect upon every person living in this country.
No American has been harmed or killed over Ukraine. Not even Joe Biden on whose behalf Democrats have attempted to run interference.
That’s a fact and seeking political advantage in an election is neither a crime nor an impeachable offense. They all do it.
Including the Democrats who themselves are guilty of what they charge Trump with doing, this week. Geez.
