And they’re eroding ham radio frequency allocations to get some of the needed frequencies for 5G.

Hams use much lower frequencies.

Limited range is a feature of 5G. It’s not supposed to replace cell networks as currently designed.

Yes, I know. We are laying the fiber infrastructure to support the unbelievable number of new antennas needed.

Meh, I have no interest in “5G” devices or services.
May be forced into it eventually but for now 3G works fine.
No, I do not have a so called “Smart Phone”.

Re: the "high-bandwidth" app that will drive 5G will involve virtual reality interactive porn.

Ten years ago - I would have agreed with you.

Today - it is only a matter of time before desirable celebrities start selling their own branded line of sex robots.

Virtual reality sex will only be used by federal employees - at work.

5G millimeter wave is the fastest, with actual speeds often being 1–2 Gb/s down.
Frequencies are above 24 GHz reaching up to 72 GHz which is above Extremely high frequency's lower boundary.
The reach is short, so more cells are required.
Millimeter waves have difficulty traversing many walls and windows, so indoor coverage is limited.

It’s still there and still working.

T_mobile already has a nation wide 5G network in place.

What a deceptive sentence!!

T-Mobile 5G cities: Where you can get it first

T-Mobile actually had some 5G coverage before December's nationwide 5G launch, using millimeter-wave technology to bring service to a half-dozen cities.
Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York have all had that 5G coverage from T-Mobile since the end of June, and you could use Samsung's Galaxy S10 5G to connect to the network.

T_mobile has been running TV ads daily stating they are the only company that currently has a nation wide 5G network.
I have no reason not to believe them.

The deception is in the word ‘network’.

That is the same for ALL G’s: 1,2,3,4,and 5.

It’s when the signal flies thru the air from the towers to the phones/receivers that is only slightly implemented at this time.

ELF is by necessity a low data rate transmission.

In the very far north patrol areas, I can still remember Cutler and Annapolis sounding like they were next door but their signals could not be received if the receiving antenna was very deep. ELF transmission would allow a sub to remain deeper and still receive signals.
