There certainly hasn't been a lack of seismic activity so far in 2020. Just a few days ago, I wrote about the horrific earthquake swarm that Puerto Rico is currently experiencing. More than 1,000 earthquakes have rattled Puerto Rico so far, and as you will see below, it was just hit by another very large earthquake.
But right now volcanic eruptions have taken center stage. In particular, a massive eruption in the Philippines is making headlines all over the world, but what most people don't realize is that several other volcanoes have also blown their tops in spectacular fashion within the past week.
Suddenly, volcanoes all over the globe are shooting giant clouds of ash miles into the air, and this is greatly puzzling many of the experts.
Let's review what we have witnessed over the past 7 days.
Last Tuesday, one of the most important volcanoes in Alaska shot hot ash 25,000 feet into the air...

...Hey, you referred to me. But I just copied a previous post from another FReeper. :)
Just giving you sh.t
Mother Nature decides to end global warming by increasing volcano output of atmospheric ash, which should calls the globe to cool.
A lot of active underwater volcanoes spewing heat, heavy metals, gases (CO2) etc. into the oceans.

10 million seems excessive! However read the article. Though it does seem every time the try to do an assay on the number they find way more then they previously thought!
The earth its a busy place! At that doesn’t include the animals & people!
the earth has a fever...and the only prescription is more cowbell.
...Whos marrying Cthulhu?

Just pray we don’t have another huge eruption like what happened in Krakatoa in 1883. Just the cooling of the Earth’s atmosphere from that could change Earth’s climate for a decade or more.
That's US ..... tonight !
How does one become an important volcano?
...See that, honey ?
...That’s US ..... tonight !
Men are like floor tiles
If you lay then right the first time
You can walk on them forever
Go to Hollywood, hang around with the right people, wait for that King Kong remake or a disaster movie to star in.
Like Yellowstone?
The ERF has GERD.. or it got ahold of some bad vapes, maybe.
Keep in mind the ERF is a living wheezing planet and has a fever yaknow.

Seriously, we are rather fortunate to live in a time when the earth is quiet. In the Miocene Epoch (23 to 5 million years ago), lava flow after lava flow poured out of the earth creating great "Basalt Plains." The Columbia River flood basalts engulfed 63,200 SQUARE MILES of the Pacific Northwest U.S. with a volume of 41,800 CUBIC MILES. Eruptions were most vigorous 1714 million years ago, when over 99 percent of the basalt was released. Less extensive eruptions continued 146 million years ago. This Columbia River Flood Basalt rock is up to a mile thick!
To put this in time terms we can understand, the earth is 4.5 billion years old and 6 million years ago is only 0.13% of the age of the earth. Put into human existence scale, if you are 60 years old, 0.13% of your lifespan is what happened to you just a week before last Christmas!
I'm no geologist, but I don't see any reason the earth couldn't decide to wake up one fine morning and say "Gee, I haven't created a new Basalt Plain in a long time. Let's get going today."
the Earth has too many people and is in the process of tipping over.
I thought virgins had to sacrificed to the goddess Pele? I am so confused . . . LOL
Aside from Trump, the only thing I can think of is Trump.
