Rapper Cardi B said on Twitter that she is considering entering the political arena.
“I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don’t agree with government,” the rapper, born Belcalis Almánzar, wrote in the first of a series of tweets about the idea on Sunday.
“Like I was watching war documentaries. No matter how many weapons a country [has] you need people!” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper continued in a follow-up tweet. “How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism? I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American.”

Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar was born on October 11, 1992, in Washington Heights, Manhattan.[citation needed] She is the daughter of a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother.[4][5][6] She was raised in the Highbridge neighborhood of the South Bronx,[7][8][9][10] and spent much time at her paternal grandmother’s home in Washington Heights, which she credits with giving her “such a thick accent.”[11] Almánzar developed the stage name “Cardi B” as a derivation of Bacardi, a rum brand that was formerly her nickname.[12] Cardi B has said she was a gang member of the Bloods in her youth, since the age of 16.[13][14] However, she has stated ever since that she would not encourage joining a gang.[15] She went on to attend Renaissance High School for Musical Theater & Technology, a vocational high school on the Herbert H. Cardi is an odd one, for sure.
I try to see potential in people I normally don’t like.
When Cardi wants to, she can speak well and speak logically.
I have seen her show some acting talent in the right circumstances. When Cardi wishes to, she knows how to dress and make herself look really nice. She understands the power of color arrangements. That’s a skill that helps any performer.
But speaking well, thinking logically, and dressing well don’t pay the bills. “YouknowwhatI’msayin’?
So the Cardi most often seen by the public is rude, angry, oversexed, overly profane and usually much underdressed
Ghetto Girl. That’s what sells her ‘performances’ and has made her rich. If she can learn to speak without dropping an F-Bomb every other sentence, she may be able to trade careers one day. But it won’t be anytime soon.
