Warren Says She's Willing To Ban Construction of New Homes in America
Western Journal ^ | January 12,2020 | By C. Douglas Golden

If your home isn’t carbon neutral, Elizabeth Warren might not let you build it. And if that means no new homes get built, she’s OK with that.

In an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, the Massachusetts senator and fading presidential candidate talked about her Thunberg-lite plan to help end climate change. (Climate crisis? Catastrophe? What are we going with these days?)

She promised “to do everything a president can do all by herself, that is, the things you don’t have to do by going to Congress.” This includes putting an end to energy mining and drilling on federal lands or offshore and “not having a coal lobbyist as head of the Environmental Protection Agency.”

You might not be surprised to learn that’s a dig at Andrew Wheeler, President Donald Trump’s EPA administrator, who was previously an attorney representing a coal producer.

Warren then moved on to her plan for housing, which she said was borne out of the dire predictions scientists have been making.

“What scares me is every time you go back to the scientists, they tell you two things,” the senator said. “It’s worse than we thought, and we have less time.

... and third, be financially feasible and a do-it-yourself concept so an average person could build their own Earthship.”

Not that the first two parameters are workable for anything but a tiny fraction of homes but that third one ensures that zero zero-carbon houses would or ever could be built.

Why is Chief Warren bothering? She's a heap big LOSER.
She should save her money and buy a personality.

If the count is low enough — a short vampire?

Re: Psychojawea (my favorite nick for her is Pokahonkey, dunno who came up with either), it seems to be a matter of urging her followers along into less and less rational and less political tenable positions, sort of a come-along to keep what’s left of her following from jumping to Bernie et al.

Nearly everyone is ignorant about how influential federal regulations are now in regards to new builds. The federal government controls waste disposal and severely penalizes local governments that don’t go along. And most local governments are more than happy to go along anyway, along with their more influential, established NIMBY constituents. The system is also rife with local government employees who protect established interests by barring any new builders from private projects.

Warren, with her gangs of drug-addled feminist, homo-activist and wealthy anti-competition friends, could easily make new construction much more difficult and expensive. And by the way, there’s no such thing as a carbon neutral house. For one, carbon emissions occur in harvesting and making the materials and components for both.

As for established folks who own houses, they’ll be driven out by way of tax hikes, medical bills and other means. Some very driven and desperate people will displace them from behind the scenes. Freedom is the best policy, but don’t bother listening to me. Go ahead, and experience the reckoning.

TRY (emphasis on try) to take away guns. TRY to take away private property rights. What else have the Progtard DildoCrats got?

Because when they TRY, and fail, it will be 100% fatal for them.

I didn’t know you had a thing going on.

My point was some people will stay off a thread when the count gets high.

Subject matter plays of course.

Just shut up Elizabeth. They have already decided to give the nomination to Bloomberg and he does’t want a lot of this stupid stuff that you, Bernie and
Buttiplugg talk about. You are just the side show to keep the unwashed busy these early months.

Exactly. It’s gangland corruption with a facade of new language and distractions to cover for it.

The last time that I built a septic system, there was a mad queer in the engineering firm (engineering required by regulation) and a mad lesbian in the county environmental health office. The cost was far lower than hiring a contractor but far higher than the costs of building it without the engineering and permit. They were gatekeepers placed to screen for political correctness and the local builders’ racket.

They delayed it by simply saying “no” to the project, until I hired an attorney to clear the way. After the attorney did his part, the system was quickly built and passed the first inspection.

The whole climate change hoax is really about elitists’ fears that the common masses will deplete natural resources and rise to replace the established folks in business.
