I've been to Oman a couple of times; Muscat and Salalah. Beautiful country. Not ostentatious like Dubai. It was small and quiet, yet the size of California.

I do recall the Omanis being the genuinely nicest people I had ever met. They're Muslims, sure, but of a flavor of Islam peculiar only to Oman.
