If the truckers would shut down Amazon in California, it would get some attention. But now being able to get an Uber to bar hop will sway a lot more young voters.

They have to prop up their media propagandists as well - newspaper delivery drivers are exempt for now (but other delivery drivers aren’t).

National truck companies can’t use independent CA truckers and are telling them to get an address out of state.

“...but in the long run, it’s probably going take a U.S. Supreme Court decision to undo all its predictably bad...”

I love how many people still think going to law is a remedy against a party that laughs at any law it doesn’t like. Yeah, go get the supreme Court on it...

I referred specifically to your use of “this writer” and mentioned that the writer is Michael Reagan, President Reagan’s son. Nowhere in my post did I comment on what he wrote, only that he is “this writer.” As to your opinion that waiting it out is ill-advised, I agree. It is never a good idea to try to wait out the Left. They are always on the march and have been from the earliest iterations of the modern Left prior to and during the French Revolution.

California and Virginia should both figure prominently in Trump 2020 campaign ads.

This is life under democrap dictatorships.

I travel to LA for business - this is going to be disaster. The Super Shuttle from LAX to the Anaheim Convention Center was $30. A Taxi fare to the same location is $150.

It is has been a couple of years since I took the LAX Super Shuttle, but if my memory serves me correctly the drivers were employees. They had uniforms, etc..

The rates always go up. We shall see how this all shakes out.

I believe Florida also has such an $800 tax.

They will raise water rates in leafy suburbs to avoid fines.

I never incorporated, as a single-person contractor can file all company forms on their personal 104 (Sched C). But, I had some buddies who did for their app-writing, and I believe Texas's LLC fee was $300. This was 10-ish years ago, but probably a better option than $800, and waaay out in CA or FL.
