Christianity Today editor who called for Trump’s removal is retiring Friday
Fox News ^ | January 2 2020 | Dom Calicchio

Mark Galli, the editor-in-chief of Christianity Today who infuriated nearly 200 evangelical leaders by writing a December editorial calling for President Trump’s removal from office and describing the president as being “profoundly immoral,” is stepping down at the end of this week.

Galli confirmed his departure in a Twitter message on New Year’s Eve.

“Well, my retirement is a couple of days away,” Galli wrote. “Will be posting here more often now that I have more time on my hands. Well, given last week, maybe not.”

He is 67 & this was announced in October. (Thus, he was hoping for that Congressional rush-to-judgment so he could issue his parting shot & not have to be there for post-holiday aftermath)

When this started up....I sent a criticism email into the magazine and questioned if Demons had taken ahold of Galli, and if we needed to bring in some folks to exorcise the Demons out of him.

Hey, Mr. Galli, why don’t you post a retraction, then give it rest for 6 months. Next thing you know - life is normal again.

He could really make news again this week by announcing he has actually been an atheist all along.

President Trump is not even breaking a sweat yet. Wait until the roll really starts. All eyes are on what PDJT might say about Virginia’s attempt to destroy the 2nd amendment.

I’d like to know how many subscriptions they lost. There had to be a lot of people out there who just did not know who they really were a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Reminds me of those stories of people who die and make some political statement in their parting.

Ah, so his BS against Trump is like Clinton selling pardons on his way out the door, just a way to pick up a quick lump sum to start off retirement right.

Typical democrat scum, IOW.

At least there aren’t any CT franchise owners here to defend them.

Unlike presumably nonexistent Christianity Today franchises, Chick Fil A franchise owners were about the only ones here conducting a strong knee-jerk “Keep buuying, it’s just a sandwich” defense of CFA’s decision to alienate just about all conservatives who had previously defended the business’ stance.

“He is 67 & this was announced in October. “

I get it, “before” the kerfuffle,

BUT, WHY was he retiring? 67? not 65. Was he PUSHED out the door? Instead of going quietly, did he slam the door on his way out.

Maybe it was just to “spend more time with the family”. /s

Retiring from the magazine doesn’t mean he hasn’t accepted a lucrative offer from one of the Soros foundations.
