If Kimmy couldn't seem to get a launch to work, maybe he would stop shooting them.
China doesn’t want SK, Japan, Australia, etc to have ICBM nukes.
Yet that’s just what will happen if NK is not constrained.
Why should the US spend it’s power to help Chins?
This is foolishness to the tenth power.
Suppose the worst, and NK could launch and detonate a (small) nuclear device somewhere on US territory?
If they did that, what would be the result?
If you said the end of North Korea, the death of its leaders, and an object lesson to the rest of the world - you would be correct.
Our losses would be minimal. Theirs would be terminal. Even to consider it is absurd.
[It is interesting that China has already issued a warning to North Korea not to do anything to destabilize its situation. Since China ought to welcome the diversion so that it can smooth things out, for a price, the warning to the North makes little sense.]
I bet they can’t hit DC. I hope they don’t find out how much regular Americans love and treasure our dear leaders in Washington DC. We would be devastated if they hit it with a 1950s style H-bomb.
...That’s Washington DC, 38.9072° N, 77.0369° W.
"North Korea has not survived since World War II by being crazy."
Good point - in an odd way, they've actually been acting rationally - which makes it easier to analyze.
I'm with Jeff Chandler (Post No. 6?) - Red China is using the Norks as negotiation leverage. Trump knows that, and despite the Trump haters' claims - he is not insane.
