It's a distinct possibility.

“it may depend on the type of Pot, not all Pot is the same.”

The problem is you don’t know what you got until you use it, same as with heroin, coke and the like. You could be smoking, snorting and/or injecting horse tranquilizer, laundry detergent or, perhaps, your neighbors lawn cuttings. Nobody knows or cares, they just want your money.

I see marijuana psychos walking around every day. Marijuana causes brain damage, psychosis and schizophrenia.

It’s one argument for legalization and the ability to sell it, so at least you know what you’re getting.

Agree.

Pot smokers like to mock Reefer Madness but the fact is smoking pot changes people and not in good ways.

Once they start smoking pot, a pot smoker can't have a good time without pot. Everything they do for pleasure and entertainment has to involve pot.

It may not be physically addicting but pot smokers become dependent on it find any joy in life.

“I was 16, and you could get a bag of Mexican ditch weed for $15 an “ounce””

I remember when nickel and dime bags could be had for that price - $5 and $10. It was, as you said, lightweight stuff compared to what you might end up with now. You’d just get buzzed for awhile, maybe like having a few drinks.

Again, that is also true for some with alcohol. Every social event they go to is centered around alcohol.

No, alcohol abuse causes serious but very different issues.

Yep,alcohol is heroin in liquid form. Maybe worse when it goes to eating on the brain stem.

“Plenty of people drink alcohol and it doesn’t ruin their lives.”

Doesn’t seem like a good enough excuse to me. That’s the type of claim that should lead to a parent telling you about not jumping off a cliff just because Johnny jumped off one.
(Drunks don’t have good excuses either, by the way).

Yes you can. Logic is quite the way to talk to pot heads. Most are easily swayed by a logical conversation. Scitzos, on the other hand, no matter what they smoking, a different story.

I hear you, FRiend. I work ems in a NE metro area and we get quite a few calls that turn out to br cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. The patients don’t like the one known cure, though (quitting) ... so just call 911 over and over until there’s some miraculous new cure.

Haven’t heard about the cop and the mega-LSD dose. How did that happen?
I was reading just recently about micro-doses of LSD being used to treat depression. I can see where that might have some possibilities, as does some uses of cannabis in legitimate medical treatment.

I saw that story about the officer on Nat Geo Channel show Drugs Inc.

I’m pretty sure that episode covered several hallucinogen drugs, and his exposure occurred at a raid on a LSD lab very early on in that drug’s life.

I can’t recall the exact details, but he either didn’t have gloves on, or took them off, or took his mask off, something like this, and the LSD was saturating the air, and was instantly absorbed into his skin.

He was apparently so close to death even after having been treated with large amounts of valium to counteract, and although he did survive, he was never the same again, and was not able to continue with law enforcement.
