A LOT of east Asians cannot digest dairy products. That is one reason why you don't see a lot of cheese in Chinese recipes or in Chinese restaurants.

A majority of Chinese are lactose intolerant. Cheese would make them sick. From my viewing on YouTube the only places in China are stores and shops that cater to westerners.
