A former FBI analyst was sentenced to seven days in jail for illegally accessing his neighbor’s email in what he said was an attempt to prevent harm to special counsel Robert Mueller’s reputation.
Mark Tolson, 60, pleaded guilty in September to a single 'misdemeanor charge of computer fraud and abuse' after he admitted to illegally hacking right-wing lobbyist Jack Burkman’s email account.

Just 7 days? Wow. And Nifong got one day for attempting to railroad there people for 30 years each.

This stuff is epidemic. If it is not ignored entirely, it gets a slap on the wrist.
This guy is 60. He must have been a “sleeper” infused into the system just waiting to be activated.

Misdemeanor allows pension to be kept. I’m sure this was a plea deal. Nobody wants to lose their pension with a felony.

Clyde Tolson, a bachelor, was the long time friend and companion and rumored boyfriend of bachelor J. Edgar Hoover.
Clyde Tolson was actually Deputy Director of the FBI when Hoover died.
Can't help but wonder if there is a family relationship.

So if the victim were to beat the living snot out of this guy, would he also get sentenced to 7 days?
