Suicide of the D party. It will be interesting to see what replaces it
I like the idea of a long, lingering, painful year for Tom Perez and his merry band.
True- but they also wore all black because they are dramatic idiots- plain and simple-
BOL!
You're dead on the mark!
Right on! :^)
This wearing of black and claiming of somberness is so at odds with so many years of documented behavior that not only indicates bias, but hatred. I get the feeling that what they are cooking up is a way to rhetorically thread the needle to claim that the Democrats are not legally biased and that the Senate Republicans are biased. The thing is though, this is exactly the behavior that lost the Democrats the House the last time. The woman is pathologically incapable of not overreaching.
These chicks all wear white at the State of the Union. Now they all wear black.
Is this Junior High School? Talk about advertising an absence of gravity.
They’re not the squad; they’re the clique. The mean girls, who snap their gum and give each other sideward glances.
PING
"They're not just coming after Donald Trump.
They're coming after every single person that voted for Donald Trump. This is all about making sure that ... 232 Democrats will actually supplant their will for the will of the people."
The Dems know they cant stop Trumps re-election, not with this economy.
........
So theyre waiting for the Senate election next fall to turn out more Dems in the Senate.
...........
Then theyll reauthorize the House impeachment and send it to the next Congress starting in 2021, hoping it will make it through more favorable Senate.
.........
Senators Collins and Romney might defect and get Trump convicted.
..........
Pelosi and Schiff and Nadler arent going to quit. Theyre hatred is pathological.
............
The Dems know that if Trump makes another 4 years, he will be appointing Ginsberg’s replacement.
..........
That’s the long game, a real Dem nighmare tor 20+ years with a conservative court.
It requires the votes of “2/3 of all members present” to remove a president from office. That means 67 votes if all Senators are present. A few defections won’t even get close.
Regardless of how the socialists come to power and what variants between political flavors of Christian democratic socialism, Soviet-style revolutionary socialism, social democratic socialism or any other kind of socialism are, they all trace their origins to Karl Marxs “scientific socialism” and share the common mantra — fair and equitable distribution of wealth. Hence, the differences are superficial. The ultimate goal of socialism is economic equality.
Appreciate the comment from the NCer FReeper— Mark is lining up a great Freedom Caucus new member to be elected in his place.
What happened to Meadows was classic lib politics from true persistent a-hole legislative and judicial types in NC—who cannot stand the conservatives... the true ones. The gerrymandering (which the democrats abhor unless it’s them doing it, quelle horreur). A state where the big issue was whether a tranny male could use a female bathroom, and the political power to force businesses to provide for this in public accommodation laws, bear the expense for an extra bathroom for example (He, she, and shehe/it!
Friends have there were huge Jesse Helms supporters (even as a he “grew” to help the AIDs victims of the homo community, he was a demon on US foreign policy and conservative values in foreign aid— not the way it clearly is now, the waste). They also understand Big Tobacco (which has power in dc from the revenue they must pay), but cannot understand how a dumba@@ like Burr ever became a Senator, riding around in his VW german desert car in the Federal lands of the mountains (doling out favors to federal DOT, and TVA types, a republican FDR lover more like).
Will keep friends in NC in mind to help Meadows there— they know a lot of the great John Locke style conservatives. NC is a fantastic great potential with great history in our country’s formation.
The sooner the better.
