Yep, Trump managed or correctly stated, mismanaged, the greatest fiasco in hiring political appointees loyal to the cause in modern Presidential Personnel Management history. Absolutely incompetent.

I worked in five different Administrations - three Republican and two Democrat. In every single one of those there was a WH director of political affairs and a WH director of personnel that would have absolutely sliced you open and spilled your guts if you did one tenth of these things. A cabinet member that didn’t take care of the situation was called in by them and totally eviscerated, hung on a cross and then sent sent to see the President to resign. I saw it happen.

I actually think Trump won’t use this “ standard model” because he thinks he will get more votes by being a drama queen cry baby victim. The entire government knows he is a pinata and acts accordingly.

If he does’t require loyalty from his own appointees, it does’t bode well for his second term. He may very well go squish lib to balance the hate with the adulation he loves.
