When Hastings got removed as a judge by impeachment, he went back to the community and said he didn't do anything white people had done except he got impeached because he was black.
Let's teach them a lesson as I will run for Representative.
And Hastings has been successful for many years getting re-elected. -Tom

He’s in Congress now, where bribery and insider trading is legal. As a judge, he showed his suitability for Congress by accepting bribes, he knows how to play along and not stir the pot.
