While it is a total farse it also sets a very destructive precedent that surely will come back to haunt us as this nonsense weakens the presidency itself.
The courts have been fighting Trump since his election and now the House is doing its best to undermine him. And its not going to stop.
I agree with you that Trump needs to do something bold to reassert himself and protect presidential authority. Not sure what that should be but he needs to put an end to the farce and attempts to overthrow him.
Mewahwhile the rest of the world and our adversaries abroad are watching closely. And they are looking to exploit any signs of weakness or dischord.
I think part of the reason for the letter is to preserve proper historical perspective. It may mean almost nothing in the short term, but it is now a matter of official record and I believe, over time, it will provide important context to how badly the democrats have badly damaged our constitutional order.
