If the Senate votes to remove President Trump from office, Ill never post here again. If the Senate votes to acquit, you never post here again.
all I did was post a news article about what the Democrats want in the Senate....
Please stop posting in articles I start and harassing me..thanks
bolton is a war monger and never meet a war he didn’t like. Trump means to end all wars. I think bolton will be very damaging to Trump. I do not know if that will be enough to convince the gopE to remove him. Because clearly Trump did not act on a pro-quid-quo, but I suspect it was discussed. And that is what bolton will testify to. At least that is my guess.
Done
So you wont take the bet? You dont believe the Senate is going to vote to convict? Would you specifically say that?
And no one harassed you. You arent a victim. If you dont like my views in the discussion, you can ignore me. I have just as much a right to an opinion as you do.
No offense to our best president ever but where does he get these guys? 1)hired 2) fired 3) plotting vengeance based on seething bitterness and anger that keeps them awake. Or just overlooked for stardom and now jealous of Trump. Did I have to mention Kasich and Romney?
And there are dozens of them all hoping to write a book, go on TV, get questioned in a hearing. Where they will say “I heard it from a guy who overheard someone in a a restaurant with a cousin who has it on good authority that Trump did something. Also I hate his hair style.”
Lets try a simple math problem.
What is 47+3?

“Murkowski, Romney, Collins,..... that is all they need”
Add a few more who have announced retirements (Alexander and Burr for example) or may soon be announcing retirement, plus a some who are being extorted.
While conservatives have threatened to bolt the party, or stay at home to punish treachery by the GOP members of Congress, it has never happened. Even when Boehner, Ryan, McConnell and Romney during his presidential run dissed the tea party, the GOP base held their noses and went to the polls to support the party.
It is the independents the GOP insiders are concerned about, not the base. The GOP wins when Independents shift slightly toward Republicans and the minority turnout is weaker than normal. When independents tire of Republicans and minority turnout is high (2008 for example) Republicans loose.
Minority turnout tends to be higher in presidential election years which is why Republican members of Congress and Senators are more vulnerable in presidential election years. Undoubtedly the Democrats will have a minority in the top slot or VP slot in 2020 to ensure minorities and youth turnout is strong. Some of the weaker GOP Senators, in swing states or states shifting blue (Tillis of NC for example) might be persuaded they will lose in 2020 anyway. Perhaps now is the time to cast a vote to convict Trump in order to be adored by the media for a day and to receive a lucrative corporate board seat, K street lobbying job, CNN commentator job, or president’s job at a small college. You can bet those conversations are being held.
I hope that you are right.
He does not play judge, because there are no procedural, statutory, or precedents that he could rule or instruct the jury on.
This is a political process, and the judiciary has nothing but a nominal role to play.
What evidence?? <<—
I rest my case your Honor...
The house investigation is similar to a grand jury investigation. They decide if their is enough evidence to impeach (or charge). The senate proceeding is like a trial where witnesses can be called by the defense and prosecution and can be cross examined. This is all dependent on a majority(52) of the senate approving the witnesses. I could see them getting enough votes to have these witnesses testify.
No he hasn’t....I’ve read everything by Bolton and don’t even have an inkling of such evidence/revenge from/by Bolton.
That should be 51 for a majority.
I dont think its any problem for any of them to testify. Unless one of them is going to claim they heard Trump say something like; I want Zelensky to dig up dirt on Hunter to help me against Biden in the 2020 election. And I dont think Trump said anything remotely like that so theyd have to outright lie.
This is why the Senate must acquit on day one and not give the rats any opportunity to have Bolton or others testify. Let Barr prosecute.
>>>But that does not give them the right to breach executive privilege.
I’m not sure Mick Mulvaney can claim Executive privelege, as he has already given a press conference where he discussed the issue at length.
Only way to find out. Go for $29,000, spin the wheel and get him up there ASAP under oath? They need to call the walrus,
Trump needs to go for an instant acquittal. No trial. Stop the circus. Does anyone want to feed the press with more opportunities to continue this charade?
Trump can be as vindictive bringing justice to the bad actors as necessary later on. We should want to see lawsuits like: US vs Comey, etc.
